Amazon Niche Site Case Study 2016 – Update #1
Welcome to my amazon niche site case study and you are not going to watch me build, but you can build yours with me! If you think creating a site and start earning $500+ per month is NOT POSSIBLE. Watch me do it from scratch.
Making money online is not a myth! It is something anyone can do.
Goal for the Niche website
Our goal for this amazon niche site case study is to build the website to be earning $500 per month. After we hit the goal, we increase it, or end and start a new one with a different goal.
Would you like to join me as I build my site from scratch? Then this is the perfect time. Am pretty sure that with the information am going to share here. Even if this is the first time you are building a website, you will get it right.
What is Required To Start A Niche Site
Am going to set aside $300 for this project. Majority of them will go to articles while the others will go for some other minor stuffs like logo design, themes, etc. I will take care of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) part. But if you are not good with that, you may need another $200 to $500 for that.
#Tip: I can rank majority of the keywords, if you want to use my SEO service, don’t hesitate to shoot me a message via the contact us page. Services starts from $400, this is for those who want to see results.
What we Need to Get started
- Keyword – Easy to rank amazon keyword
- Domain name (Exact match or partial match domain)
- Hosting (I use Bluehost and I recommend them)
- Content (I have my own writers)
- SEO (This is self explanatory)
Okay, since we know what we need to get this off the ground. It is time to get started!
Finding Easy to Rank Amazon Keyword
This first thing you should do is to find amazon keywords that are easy to rank. If you choose the wrong keyword, you might spend $2000 and still not where you should be – first page on google!
The wrong keyword is one that is going to be difficult to rank!
I use both Longtail pro (LT pro) and Keywordrevealer (KR) when searching for my keywords.
If you are serious about this thing, then I encourage you to get this software. On the other side, if you are just starting out and you want to manage your available funds properly. Then KR is free to use.
So I have done my research and found a keyword with 4,400 monthly search and the secondary keywords has a monthly search of 27,100 and 60,500.
As you can see from the above, the total search for this niche site is close to 90k We are going to focus on this keywords and at the time targeting other longtail keywords that has monthly search of 200 and above.
I believe with my little knowledge about building niche websites, this will be an easy to rank keyword! See the screenshot of my primary keyword below;
I recommend any keyword less than 20 for those starting out.
As you can see from the screenshot above, my primary keyword has ‘review’ on it, while the secondary keyword has ‘best’ on it. I have actually build niche sites with no ‘review’ or ‘best’ in them. But I think the ones with this terms convert the most.
Choosing a Domain Name for my Niche Site
Now, that we have our keywords all layout. It is time to choose the best domain name for our niche site. I would have loved to opt for a ‘brandable’ name. I wanted to rank this FAST! So I choose a partial exact match name, the exact match is not available.
I buy my domain from namecheap, it comes with a free Privacy for a year. I have my domain name ready, next is hosting…
Best Web Host for Niche Website
I have been using Bluehost for the past few years and I highly recommend them! I have contacted bluehost once or twice for the past 3 years or so. Trust me, your site will always be online 99% of the time. And you know what? It is cheap at just $3.95 per month.
Moneyhomeblog is hosted on bluehost webhosting as well as a lot of my micro niche websites. Install wordpress on it and the site is ready to Launch!
(If you are new and you purchase bluehost via any of the links above, you can contact me and I will help you with installing wordpress on your cpanel. Although there are many video tutorials on how to do just that)
Am going to spend around $200+ for content and if you are good with words, you can skip this and write the content yourself.
This is how I structure my website
I have found this method of interlinking my content to rank easily. I have my homepage article which will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words and them my pillar content which will have 2,000 to 3,000 words and then the supporting articles of 400 to 800 words.
This is also known as silo. In fact, if you are not structuring your website like this, then you are missing out!
Best SEO Method for Niche Website
This will come in the later stage, but am going to focus more on white-hat backlinking (if there is anything like white when you are actually backlinking to your website!)
Bonus: Are you looking to start a niche website and you have no idea on how to get this easy to rank keywords? Then you are in luck! Am giving out 2 keyword to two lucky people! You will need to give me proof that you are actually going to make use of it.
The keywords will have 2000+ monthly search and competition of less than 15! With just some web2.0s, you will be on the first page of google before you say Jack Robinson.
